An eighteen year old decided to “get back at” his sixteen year old girlfriend so he sent naked photos of her via text to a bunch of people. This is just one example of an act known as “sexting.”
Of course, the sixteen year old girl was upset so she told her parents. Her parents immediately reported it to local police.
The eighteen year old will regret his actions for the rest of his life. He was arrested by the police and prosecuted for sending child pornography via the internet. Among other consequences, he will be required to register as a sex offender forever.
It is so important to realize that before you use the internet to send any photographs, you realize that if the photographs are of a minor and they are “lewd in nature,” you can face serious criminal penalties.
